The Jam Festival
Jam Festival is a new form of musical performances and “Alive” events carried away by a wide variety of musicians, artists and gig professionals, along with DJ´s and young talents; and with the involvement and supply of well-known artists and stars from the world of show business (who can eventually take part in one of the several events)..
JF has the support and cooperation of AIE (Artists Musicians and Performers) an association which integrates all the trade; and whose final aim is to promote and encourage a cross-curricular project among musicians of well-checked quality professionals, in dire straits.
“Jam Session” is a musical term, which describes the meeting on stage of a group of several musicians who improvise with their instruments over some pre-determined parameters or absolutely playing freely, so they create their music in that very moment; mixing all kind of styles, although jazz and blues have been the main sources and energy of this artistic expression.
With the arrival of new technologies, influences and trends, the concept of Jam (widely well-known among musicians from the beginning), has turned into a new and original style of music; funny, ready to be danced, and aimed at a wide variety of audiences.
JF is a yearly national event, and the organization of this festival has designed a period of one to three days long, depending on the demand, the budget and availability of musicians who would take part of the show alternatively, during this creative process they would play new rhythms, harmonies and melodies previously unknown, and eventually some famous songs and covers but with the new Jam hallmark.
The show would be designed to be adapted to all sort of programs, timetables and schedules, that’s to say from the evening youngest pop audiences (even kids), until the frenzy disco night, crossing thru some more sophisticated funky-jazz periods. Then rock would rule or reggae would groove and finally a great “fiesta pachanga”; without forgetting the main characteristic of Jam, the concept of “non-stop music”, a typical feature of most festivals in Spain the last few years.
JF has a well qualified team to deal and manage all the artistic, technical, organizing committee and promotional tasks.
In the Jam Fest Web Site you could check, comment and ask about any aspect of this original event whenever you feel like and there will be a huge list of collaborators and active participants, as well as the promoters, sponsors, and the outstanding support of Radio 3 and AIE, which contribution to the development of the project, not only in Spain but later on in Europe, because the project has been already proposed in a commission of the EC in charge of promoting cultural interchanging among community members.
